St. Moritz - not worth visiting. Review of Lake St. Moritz. Reviewed July 11, 2015. The lake was the only good thing in St. Moritz, it was beautiful and the water was clear. Views from the mountains were also beautiful, but not breathtaking. Services in St. Moritz were non-existent: almost no restaurants, cafes or shops.
Take the train back to St Moritz, get off, and start walking towards the iconic St Moritz lake. The amazing view will have you looking at the lake, the forest, beautiful houses and a mountain in the backdrop - all in one frame. Then, walk for another 15 - 20 mins to the 33-meter high leaning tower (Originally a part of a church).
If you plan to take the Glacier Express, make reservation ahead. In St. Moritz and the Engadin Valley, October is a beautiful time, usually with colored woods and bright days, buth rather cool.
